When I first learned of the book, I read through the first chapter and it took quite some time for my classmate to pry it from my hand so she could continue reading it herself (she as amazingly kind and patient enough to lend it to me when she hadn't even finished, something I doubt I could have done). The next day when she had finished and leant it to me again, I got in trouble plenty of times with my teachers for paying far to much attention to the book than to their lessons. Ha! Imagine, getting in trouble for reading in school. I was half tempted to stuff the book in my bag and hope that my friend forgot about it so I would not have to return it and halt reading. I was not so lucky, and I guess karma caught up with me when she came to school the next day and told me she'd FORGOTTEN the book at home. To put it simply, I cried to myself and went into a depression that lasted untill the next day when (after several calls to her house to remid her to bring it) she remebered to bring it to school and I finished the book, only to be even more starved to read more. All in all, I wish MY own dad would take the time to sit down and read Twilight. But hes your typical guy, as most guys are, and would sooner put on lipstick than read a book like Twilight.
