HE GOT CAUGHT SNEAKING TWILIGHT
It all started one Friday evening when my wife finally gave in and bought the Twilight book like so many of her friends were begging her to. She tried to read it over the weekend, but didn't get very far. However, on Monday after work, she came home just RAVING about this book and how she thought I would love it.
I had heard enough about it to know what it was. It was a vampire love story. Not really my cup of tea, even though I am an avid reader and I was looking for a new book. I told her that I might read it after she was finished, with emphasis on *might*. I think she caught on to the fact that I was really not interested.
The next day we had to do some shopping, we live in a very small town and we have to drive an hour anywhere to get anything that isn't food. My wife wanted to continue reading Twilight, however she gets very car sick while she reads, so she decided she would drive and I would read Twilight to her.
As luck would have it, we returned home just as Edward announced James was a tracker. The most exciting part of the whole book. I needed to figure out what happened next, but I didn't want my wife to know that I was interested in her vampire love book. She would never let me live it down after I called it that "vampire love book".
So that night after she finished the book and fell asleep, I grabbed it and headed toward the couch. I almost made it thought the entire book with out her noticing. But alas she came down in the morning and I was so caught up with the ballet studio I didn't even hear her come down the stairs. I was caught red handed.
After some good natured teasing, I finished all the books that were out, and waited patiently for Breaking Dawn. When it arrived we went to the midnight release and I sneaked a second copy into our shopping cart, so I wouldn't have to wait any longer. Two days later I was finished and hungry for more. I can not wait for more Twilight-related books from Stephenie Meyer.
Now, I proudly admit that I like Twilight, and even have encouraged other guys to read it."
