There's no way in hell, Bella would leave Edward like that in the books.
I'm fine with things changing in the films but only if it's consistent with the characters in the source material. =/ And this was completely OOC for everyone but Jacob here.
Either Summit's marketing team is choosing scenes from the movie that make it look like the “playing ground” is more even ie. Bella could go either way on who she picks or, they've told the screenwriter/director/etc. to make Jacob seem less of an ass like he is in the books and make Edward and/or Bella look bad (depending on the scene). I'm not entirely happy with what we've seen so far as it looks like they've been messing around with the characters and tried to make Jacob more likeable and Edward less so . . . but I'll wait until I've seen the film to make a final judgement, =/
The acting/plot/writing/story looks low (not near to Stephenie's par) but the fight and effects look super. Possibly worth watching for that.
I totally agree with you!! Bella would not just hop on Jacob's bike like that right in front of Edward. This is one thing I'm worried about this movie, not protraying Jacob the way he is in the book. I really don't like Jacob because of what he does in Eclipse. He's such an immature bratty teenage boy who has Bella says Bugs the hell out of me. If they make Jacob more likeable than he is in the book & make Edward look bad I will not be happy. (I know Edward does have his overprotective moments & does some things. But still at least he's mature about things & realizes his mistakes.)
Did anyone else notice that Edward's eyes looked more red-orange than yellow here? Maybe I'm wrong but they didn't really look yellow.
